For the first time this year I have once again been out performing. This time for a school class, a bunch of 10 year olds ..hehe... I performed two of my mixes - off the wall medley and working day and night / black or white. It was highly popular and afterwards I got bombarded with questions from them... hehe .. like if I had ever met Michael, when I began to dance like him, how I had learned to dance like that, if I really liked him - of course I answered yes on that question! After that a little girl said that Michael was her idol, I giggled and said that then we are two who feels that way :-)
I ended up getting three applause for my little performance ... the last one I got as I walked out the door and left the class room.
I'd like to thank the teacher and all the kids in the class for having me and also for being sucha wonderful audience. :-)

Tessie has once again been out doing another performance! This time the occasion was to support Michael in his fight against these terrible allegations. But let me tell you all the background details about this gig first. :-)

It seems that I'm starting to make my name slightly knowned around the MJ-fans circle here in Sweden. Last Tuesday (10th of February) a girl named Cindy called me, and she told me that they were planning to do a demonstration for Michael in Stockholm on Sergel Square (called "Plattan" in swedish slang). She had gotten the number from another girl named Lana who have seen me perform quite a lot of times by now .. :-) I'd like to take the opportunity to thank-you Lana for enjoying what I do and supporting me and speaking well of me .. >>big smiles<<
Anyways I said that I would think about it and get back her to her later in the week. I felt very honored that they wanted me there to perform, but I didn't have much time to prepare. The demonstration took place Saturday that same week ... and with a full time job to take care of you don't get much time to plan. I usually want to come well prepare and also hopefully doing something new, a new song or a new mix that I haven't done before. But this time it wasn't enough time to do that so I created a compilation of some songs I already had made and burned them onto a CD. Then you also have the clothing arrangement ... I'm really not that happy with my stage costumes that I have at the moment... that's why I have booked a meeting with a tailor next week.. =) My first goal is to create the stage costumes that Michael used for Jam and Wanna Be Startin Somethin etc from the Dangerous tour. We'll see how it turns out.

Here I would also like to express my gratidue towards my boyfriend who have been really supportive and given me space and time to prepare and also helping out with taking pictures and videofilming. I truly appreciate it honey bun ..>>big smiles<<

Despite me not being too happy with my selection of songs and my stage costumes I still felt that I wanted to be there to support Michael and show him that I believe he is innocent. So I called back to Cindy and said that I would show up!

So in the morning of Saturday the 14th me and my boyfriend took the train down to Stockholm. Unfortunatly they were doing some work on the railway so the train couldn't take its usual path so we ended up arriving 1 hour late, spending 3 hours on that train which was kind of boring. But we still made it to the event in time, no worries, we had started out early in the morning cuz we had also originally planned to go shopping for some new clothes while in Stockholm. But we skipped that and just went straight to the event instead. I had gotten instructions from Cindy that those who were gonna perform needed to be there 30 minutes before everything started, so we went there to around about 14.30pm. What was a bit unfortunate was that once we got there and said hello to Cindy and some other MJ fans she told me that her partner, who was gonna arrange with the stage and speakers had fallen sick. This made me at first think that I would skip the performance and just be there to demonstrate... but the guys really wanted me to perform so I decided I'd do 1 or 2 numbers. I ended up doing the "Shake your body mix" and "Working day and night - Black or White" mix.

So how did it all go? Well the first number went alright, as usual I was very nervous before the performance, but I still think I had it all under control. What was quite cool I think was that there was a lady there videofilming the whole event and she approach me after my first number and took a few pictures. She said that she were going to send the material to America to Michael, cuz he is very much aware of the demonstrations taking place all over the world and he would very much like to take part of them. So this lady had taken on the responsibility to capture everything and send it to Michael! So if I'm lucky Michael we'll see my performance .. >>big smiles<<
The second number I did started out alright.. but then this one thing happened that I just want to forget ... I accidently dropped the microphone ... oopps.... my only defense to this mistake is that it was around zero degrees outside and the dexterity in my fingers was not the best.... I couldn't grip the microphone properly .. oh well .. I'll just have to take it as a lesson and learn from it... hold on to your microphone when performing. :-)

If you have read about the cityfest day 1 you are aware of that this once again was a gig I did as a streetdancer - and it turned out quite alright if I can say it myself! :-)

Friday I didn't have as enthustiatic crowd as I did Thursday, but I think the problem was that most people was at home having dinner at 6pm. If I do this again next year I will perform later in the evening.

Encouraged by the nice experience I had Thursday I wasn't as nervous when I performed on Friday which was nice! I had the chance to enjoy the performance a bit more :)

To wrap Fridays performance up I was happy with my performance, I was a bit tired since the day before so I felt I couldn't have done it any better.

Ok once again I did a gig as a streetdancer, last time I did such a thing was 1999 and I must say it was quite a pleasant experience. This time was to be proved just as successful, if not better!
The cityfest is a yearly event arranged in a town not too far away from where I live, they have approx. 250 000 visitors during a short period of days. This year it lasted 4 days. Just as last time I had taken initiative to this event myself. I called up the guys that was arranging the festival and asked for permission to stand as a streetdancer. They seemed to think it was quite an interesting proposal I presented to them, so after a bunch of phone calls and preparation I was ready!

As always I was very nervous the last few days before the gig and of course also on the actual day. I could pretty much myself decide when I wanted to perform so I chose to go in after work around 6pm. Luckily, I must say looking back, we got delayed so I didn't start until around 8pm in the evening. When I compare Thursday to Friday I had a much more excited crowd looking at me - probably cuz they had managed to get some dinner into them and after that they were out visiting the cityfest.

I must say I was very happy with my performance Thursday, I couldn't have done it any better then I did - and the crowd were wonderful!

This was to be my third MJ day.. the first one that wasn't arranged in Stockholm though.. this was arranged pretty far south in our country..... took me 5-6 hours to get there by train... but the trip down was well worth it .. cuz I must say I had a blast .. the crowd was wonderful ... I absolutely loved it! =) I'm sure you can tell that from the videoclips aswell!

Besides me performing the guy arranging the whole MJ day, Kent, also did a performance to a mix that he had created himself :) It was very much appreciated by the audience and by myself!

There is one thing that I'd like to share with you about this MJ day, Kent had earlier in the week been interviewed by the local news paper.. where they wrote about the upcoming MJ day ... and in this interview Kent stated that .. "Sweden's best MJ impersonator" would attend the party ... referring to me! :) I thought that was a very nice thing of him to say and I was very happy to hear about that later on when I arrived that day :) The best thing was that he still felt that way by the time I was done with my performance.. >>smiles<<... Kent if you read that .. I'd like to thank-you for your nice words and your kindness to me and my boyfriend during our stay in Nässjö :)

Also to anyone else that reads this that attended the MJ day, thank-you all for your support and your kind words .. it was a true honour to perform for you, you were a wonderful audience!

This even started out with that I was approached by some people in my village about arranging something fun for the New Years Eve this year ... so we met up and started brainstorming about what we could do... and we came up with quite a lot of things actually.. I ended up coreographing a dance routine for a couple of guys .. and I was playing an active role in impersonating a well known aerobics teacher / leader here in Sweden.. and I also got to finish off the whole show with doing my oldies medley mix and last but definetly not least impersonating Michael to "Man In The Mirror"!

All in all it was a GREAT night, probably the best New Years Eve I've ever experienced! :)

On the 7th of December there was a party arranged at work, I've been working at the same place for over 1,5 years now so of course my workmates knew about my love for Michael and dance.

There are over 200 people working at my company, and this year my department had the task of arranging the entertainment. And that's why I was approached by those people responsible at my department if I would like to do some sort of performance.
If this had happened one year ago I defintely would have turned it down. But since I've had some much positive reactions on my performances so far, and also a big support from you MJ fans out there, I decided to go through with it!

I had 15 minutes at my disposal and from those boundaries I came up with the following:

To do a wrap up from this my performance was very successful, lots of people approached me afterwards and thanked me and told me they thought I was good. It all felt very nice and if anyone of you read this I'd like to thank-you very much, it truly warmed my heart :-)
